Batting has
to be one of the most misunderstood and under utilized product in quiltmaking.
There are so many wonderful products out there, but so many quilters stay with
one or two types or brands. This workshop will explore the ever changing world
of batting, discuss ways of learning and experimenting with different products,
and start making samples for a hands on library of batting samples. Discussion
of caring for quilts, colorfast issues, and shrinkage will be discussed. This
class goes beyond just the stitching aspect of machine quilting into what makes
your finished quilt the best it can be.
